Approved Artist Bio for Immediate Release
Jordan Rowe is a rock singer-songwriter with charming vocals, thoughtful lyrics, and a tonal style that harkens back to the catchy, up-tempo sounds of Tom Petty, R.E.M., Violent Femmes, and Goo Goo Dolls. He was born and raised in Los Angeles and currently resides in New York City. Prior to the pandemic, he was a frequent performer at venues like The Bitter End, The Bowery Electric, and Rockwood Music Hall. He draws inspiration from classic rock artists including Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, and Cat Stevens and more current alternative acts like Kurt Vile, Big Thief, and Wilco.
Jordan is also a writer and director, his music playing a key role in his filmmaking process. He wrote, directed, and composed the original music for The Reservoir, a coming of age short film starring Jared Gilman, the lead from Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom. It played the U.S. film festival circuit in 2019 and premiered online in early 2020.
His upcoming single, “Fertile Ground,” is a break-up song that sonically puts a modern spin on the Laurel Canyon rock sound of the 1970s. The song premieres on Friday, March 26 on Spotify, Apple, Amazon, and anywhere you listen to music.
